Terms and Conditions
“Enrolment” refers to an application for a programme where the application fee has been paid.
50% Waiver of Application Fee
- Valid for enrolments from 29 July to 9 August2024.
- Applicable for all Degree and Postgraduate programmes offered by Murdoch University.
- Not applicable to international students.
Murdoch Welcome Merch
- Valid for enrolments from 29 July to 9 August2024.
- Each Murdoch Welcome Merch consist of a Murdoch Hoodie with zipper, a Murdoch Luggage tag and an Apple AirPods (3rd generation).
- Applicable for all Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate programmes offered by Murdoch University.
- Applicant must make the first instalment payment of the programme fees and provide proof of payment before redemption.
- There are 59 sets of Murdoch Welcome Merch available.
- All redemptions are on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Each unique applicant is limited to a maximum of 1 Murdoch Welcome Merch regardless of the number of programmes applied to.
- Murdoch Welcome Merch must be collected from Kaplan City Campus @ Wilkie Edge by 11 October 2024. Failure to do so will result in the Murdoch Welcome Merch being forfeited.
- Applicant will be notified via email on the collection details.
- The Murdoch Welcome Merch are non-exchangeable and non-transferable; no cash alternative is offered.
- Not applicable to international students.
Education Grant
- Applicable for selected Murdoch University Degree programmes for the September intake. Please contact our Programme Consultant for more information.
- The Education Grant is applicable for Murdoch University selected Degree programmes and the amount awarded will range from S$2,180 to S$4,360 depending on the programme selected. Please contact our Programme Consultants for more information.
- The Education Grant amount will be automatically deducted from the student’s last fee instalment payment for the programme. The student must pay the rest of the programme fee according to the applicable instalment payment schedule.
- The Education Grant and amount specified is exclusive to selected programmes and not transferable to another programme or another intake of the same programme.
- A student who receives the Education Grant may be entitled to the referral incentive and/or 50% application fee waiver, subject to the relevant terms and conditions applicable to these promotions.
- A student who is eligible for the Education Grant and is also entitled to a fee adjustment on account of being exempted from a module (a “fee adjustment”) will receive either the fee adjustment or the Education Grant, whichever is higher. No student will be entitled to both a fee adjustment and the Education Grant.
- The Education Grant is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
- The Education Grant will be forfeited if the student withdraws from, defers, or fails to complete the programme.
- The Education Grant may be withdrawn at any time if the Education Grant holder’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory, as determined at the reasonable discretion of Murdoch University and/or Kaplan Higher Education Academy (“Kaplan”), including if the awardee breaches or is subsequently found to have breached any applicable law, does not exemplify conduct or performance (whether academic or others) of a deserving student and/or any disciplinary action is taken against the awardee.
- If the Education Grant is forfeited or withdrawn for any reason, the awardee will not be eligible for any further subsequent award of the Education Grant.
S$500 Referral Incentives
- Applicable to both current Kaplan students and alumni who refer new students to pursue a Murdoch University programme for the September intake.
- The names of both the referrer and referee must be indicated clearly on the Application Form.
- Referrer refers to current students who have either commenced the course or accepted the letter of offer and made payment for the first instalment.
- Alumni refers to a graduate or former student who study at Kaplan.
- Referee refers to new students who are pursuing a Murdoch University programme for the September intake.
- Kindly take note that the referee will not be eligible for upgrader rebate from Kaplan should there be a referral arrangement stated in his/her programme application.
- The referrer will not be entitled to the referral incentive if the referee is an existing Kaplan alumnus and had taken up upgrader rebate at the point of enrolment.
- The referral incentive is stackable with Education Grant for selected Murdoch University programmes.
- The referral incentives will be issued to the referrer after the referee has made the first instalment payment of the programme incentive and commenced his/her programme. Both the referrer and the referee must not have any outstanding payment with Kaplan for the referral incentive to be disbursed.
- All manner of referral incentives is not applicable to current employees and ex‐employees of Kaplan.
Kaplan and Murdoch University (as applicable) reserve the right in their respective sole and absolute discretion from time to time to vary, amend, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions, or to terminate or suspend any of the above promotions, perks and/or rebates at any time without notice, reference or liability to any applicant or member of the public.
